Autex Acoustics® proudly stood at the forefront of sustainable design and innovation at the recent Sustainability Awards Summit and Gala held in Sydney. As the Carbon Neutral and Platinum sponsor, we celebrated the achievements of visionaries shaping a more sustainable future across architecture and design.
The day began at the Sustainability Summit with thought-provoking panel discussions from industry leaders, architects, designers, and sustainability advocates. Topics encouraged dialogue from carbon-neutral building practices to circular design and renewable energy advancements, inspiring collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and actionable change between attendees.
Rob Jones, Technical and Development Manager at Autex Acoustics, featured on the Sustainable Trends in Education panel, demonstrating how our innovative acoustic products contribute to a circular economy and environmentally conscious design in learning environments.
The awards gala followed in the evening, hosted at the iconic Sydney Town Hall. This served as a platform to spotlight pioneering practices and celebrate the future of sustainability in the built environment. For Autex Acoustics, it was an opportunity to support this mission. A central feature of our involvement was an immersive installation that welcomed attendees into the gala through a sculptural archway. Each curve and contour drew inspiration from organic materials, celebrating the harmony between nature, design, and sustainability.
The installation was created using our Cube™ and Mirage™ panels, both products made from a minimum of 80% recycled content. As guests journeyed through, they enjoyed the sereneness of an acoustic environment alongside the beauty of responsible, carbon neutral products. The archway was complemented by Autex-designed and manufactured centrepieces and lecterns. The additional pieces mimicked the sculptural form of the entryway and offered an illusion of growth, from flowers sprouting from tabletops to an organic-shaped lectern wrapping around each speaker.
The installations were more than an artistic expression; it was a statement about the power of sustainable materials to reshape design thinking. By creating a visually stunning and acoustically effective space, we highlighted how innovation and responsibility go hand in hand.
At Autex Acoustics, we remain steadfast in our mission to create innovative, sustainable and circular products that transform spaces while protecting the planet. Our involvement with the Sustainability Summit and Gala represents a continuous effort to foster a culture of environmental responsibility, where sustainable choices are integral to every aspect of design and construction.
We look forward to continuing this partnership and creating a future where great design is always sustainable.
